Double Rack Lifter Series Enhances Demolding Performance

Published 4/13/2022

CUMSA’s Xtreme Double Rack (XR) lifter is designed to enable a wide range of applications. It offers the release of deeper undercuts, 25-40% reduced ejection stroke and introduces four new angles.

CUMSA continues to expand its undercuts product line by offering more demolding options. Following the double rack (DR) lifter series, CUMSA now introduces the Xtreme Double Rack (XR) lifter. The system, designed to enable a wider range of applications, comes in three different sizes and introduces four new angles: 24°, 28°, 32° and 36°.

The XR lifter facilitates the release of deeper undercuts from 31-80 mm, with draft angles from +19° up to -45° and a 100-mm ejection stroke. Mirror versions are also available to simplify the mold and the part design.

Because the XR lifter enables the user to reduce the size of the mold, the company says it helps cut overall tool costs. For example, the ejection stroke can be reduced by 25-40% compared to traditional angled lifters. These straight-movement lifters offer simplified installation, are easier to assemble and maintain and save cost and time in machining and adjustments, CUMSA notes. They also move more smoothly, causing less friction and less impact on tool performance. XR lifters are installed 90° to the parting line, making it easier to adjust and perform routine maintenance.

The new version also works with CUMSA’s height regulator, the RF, which makes small adjustments to the lifter rod in height (±2 mm), correcting slight inaccuracies in the tool and its components.
